Portraits of A Gen X - Xenophobe

A forthcoming series exploring identity, habit, and quiet detachment through symbolic narrative.

These works examine the subtle ways we distance ourselves from life, connection, and change—revealing characters shaped as much by time as by their own chosen patterns.

The Wake of X 4

Oil • Canvas Board

32 × 42 inches

A figure governed by time sits within a constructed stillness, where routine replaces connection. The clock marks more than hours—it defines existence. A fish drifts in quiet containment, sustained with minimal care, mirroring a life held at a distance. From a vessel of mortality, forms continue to grow, indifferent to attention. Above, a detached self observes without intervention. This is a life maintained, not lived—where presence fades, and habit quietly takes its place.
